Afric is married to Luke, he works abroad a lot. He is a perfectionist. His daughter is imperfect in every way. He suffers from bouts of depression. Afric tries to protect him from these. On a Tuesday, the obstetrician confirms that the baby is incompatible with life. Afric books herself a visit to the consultant, and over the next four days recounts the reality of carrying a fatally ill child.
